Wyoming, Ohio Diverts Waste Through Community-Wide “Upcycle Day”

Takeaway Message

Junk Day continues to be a cherished tradition in the City of Wyoming, and city council members Sarah Stankhorb and Nancy Averett recognize that many residents look forward to the yearly event. Their hope is that the community enjoyment and personal fulfillment that comes from Upcycle Day will eventually lead to more items diverted that go to the landfill over the two days annually thanks to community members working together to reduce Wyoming’s waste and environmental footprint.
